International Study

n7902153_35297722_4617 Science is global, and the leading scientists and doctors of the 21st century will be the people who have an understanding of global issues, the courage to take risks, and the confidence to immerse themselves in the unknown. The companies, graduate programs and medical schools to which the college's students apply know that, and they recognize and reward applicants who have a global perspective and an adventurous spirit. The first step toward going abroad is realizing that it's possible. The second step is visiting the Office for Honors, Research and International Study (see contact info at left), where there's information for students on how to:
  • earn credit that works with every degree plan
  • take science courses taught by UT faculty
  • obtain UT credit for approved academic coursework abroad
  • work in science and technology industry internships
  • do original laboratory research
  • complement pre-med studies with real healthcare experience
  • connect with students that have studied abroad

The University of Texas at Austin has agreements with hundreds of colleges and universities around the world that allow you to take core classes abroad.  Visit the UT Study Abroad Office website and search the programs database.
